Here is a nice vintage Fender amp.
My older brother got this amp new for Christmas back in 1966. He was 16 and started learning to play guitar a little. He lost intrest after a few years and went off to college and then the army and left it with me. I played through the amp throughout the years but never anything regular or serious. In about 1993 I took it to Tom Phillips, a vintage amp specialist in Santa Barbara to have it all checked out. He is the one that replaced the 2 tubes but everything else is in the original working order.
I don't ever remember there being a foot switch with it.
I've kept it wrapped in a black plastic bag in my closet for years. I love the sound of this amp but I haven't used it for years so I am selling it. The reverb unit works great as well as the intensity, treble, bass and volume.
This is in unbelieveable condition.
This amp has the original 10 inch speaker in excellent condition.
The tolex, the trade name of the flexible vinyl material used to cover Fender amplifiers is in great condition. There are a few minor scuffs here and there.
The grill cloth is immaculate. There is one tiny imperfection above the Capital "F" on the "Fender" Logo plate.
The black faceplate behind all the dials has very minor wear.
It is just about all original. The Speaker is the original. There are two tubes that have been replaced but I'll include the originals anyway just because I still have them. (I was told that these are regular maintenance). The two-prong plug has been repaired. (There are some electrical wire nuts on it, but it is fine. You could replace or repair it to suit. I recall that the electronic guts in the head were checked to ensure everything worked right. Some of the wood screws in the back panel are not originals.
All the dials, switches and even the red light are in excellent condition.
This is a collector's dream.
This amp SOUNDS GREAT!
