July 2, 2007:
Update...Silver Trotter Limited Edition!
Yo!
Just a quick update: I have fixed the "Store" page with an updated status list for Silver Trotter
Limited Edition orders and T-shirts. This list is more for me to have a visual record until all
orders have been filled. Then I want to modify the list to make a permanent page to show who owns
a copy of Silver Trotter. Also, I have added a few new people to the host list whom have
signed up recently. More soon!
At Long Last...Silver Trotter Limited Edition!
Hey!
Some of you may have wondered why it seems I have neglected to update the site in a long while. I
apologize for the lack of recent updates but it has because I have been working on the item below:

Over a year in the making, the Silver Trotter Limited Edition release commemorates 2.5 years and the first 50 hosts
Trotter traveled with. Please click on the new "Store" button on the left side to learn how to get yourself a copy of this unique
demo cart for the Atari 2600.
In other news, Trotter should have returned now from a trip to Japan and should now be in the USA. From here, Trotter will make
his way toward Las Vegas, Nevada in time for the Classic Gaming Expo in
July. Any remaining copies of the Silver Trotter Limited Edition will be available at my
Find Trotter Multimedia vendor booth. If you want to save on shipping costs, you can arrange with me to pick up your order at the show!
Once the ball is rolling with this limited release, I also want to add more photos to the Event & Honors sections as
I still have pics to share from varous shows Trotter has attended.
Finally, I also have new photos from Trotter's travels I need to add soon, including some from New Zealand!
More soon! Happy trails!
Photos From Ghana and Malaysia!
Hey!
I recently received a few pics from the host who toured Ghana back in July-August. I also added a photo
from Penang Island in Malaysia!
It has been tricky so far to arrange for Trotter's trip to/from Burma/Myanmar but the timing is coming
together for later this month. Trotter will visit there via passage through Bangkok, Thailand. Crossing
my fingers the details can be worked out in time. Meanwhile, I will soon be adding more photos from events
Trotter has attended in 2004. After this, 2005 and 2006. Been busy, but I will eventually get them all
online.
Amid these adventures, Trotter celebrated his 4th year since activation, on March 29th.
Happy Birthday Trotter!
Trotter Lands On The Moon!

Hey Everybody!
I know it's been a bit quiet from Trotter lately ( due in part to me having my Internet connection down
for several days ), but I wanted to share some photos of Trotter's latest trip!
Long story short, A millionaire- private entrepreneur/investor based in Malaysia got permission from
the Malaysian government to launch a rocket of his own design which he had been building for the last
several years with the help of several private investors along with his own resources. His
destination? A return to the surface of the Moon!
Trotter was already visiting Malaysia and I was informed by the previous host that he was aquainted
with the millionaire and had made arrangements to book passage for Trotter on the rocket trip! Also,
he would provide some photos, after the Malaysian government catalogued them first as part of their
aggrement to help fund the trip, and NASA and the U.S. government also who've provided intel and
astronaut suits and other technology not used since the late 70's.
More pics may be on the way if Trotter appears in them!
Have a VCS day™!
Events and Honors Section Added!
I've been adding pages to the Events section over the weekend but had some trouble with the pages linking up to
each other correctly. All the current pages should be working now. I've included photos for CGE 2004 and Eurocon
2004 to start us off. Over the next week or two I will add another batch of photos until I get all my current
collection of images online. I still have a few pics for PhillyClassic 5, OVGE, NWCGE, Toyko Game Show 2004,
vgXpo Dallas, Utah gaming party, as well as some awards to mention. I'll have the next update one week from now.
As you can see, the events section includes photos of some of the influential programmers, show organizers, and
others who keep our hobby alive! I have done my best to include accurate info for these people, however I may have
overlooked some things. If you find misspelled names, incorrect info listed for these people, or important omissions,
please contact us with the correct information and I will fix it ASAP. Also,
if you have photos of Trotter at an event not featured here and would like to submit it to the site, let me know. I will
give photo credit to you.
The Archives page has been put into use now, and I combined the Links with the Contact page. More links will be added
soon. Let me know if you would like to link with this site.:-)
Meanwhile, I've recently gotten word that Trotter has a few photos on the way from his time visiting Malaysia and
Singapore. I'll post those when I get them. Trotter will soon travel to either Kuwait or Myanmar/Burma next. I'm
working out the logistics for that part of the world.
Have a VCS day™!
Chinese New Year in Southeast Asia!
Thanks everybody for your patience. Trotter has been busy this past month! Before year's end he visited Singapore
and spent some time in New Zealand to welcome the new year in January. Now the Chinese New Year festivities are underway
and Trotter has been touring Malaysia and Indonesia!
Work continues on polishing up details for the Silver Trotter Limited Edition carts, boxes, etc. as well as a few
other Trotter-themed projects in the pipeline that has kept my attention away from this website for a while, but I am back,
ready to focus on updates again. I have several photos, and other anecdotal items to share over the upcoming weeks. For
now, I've added maps for the Malay penninsula and New Zealand's South Island, plus started adding some color to the U.S.
states to distinguish state and national borders. I'll eventually get all the old maps colored this way and notable cities
flagged consistently as well as the correct "distances travelled" on each page( this home page should now be current ).
Happy Chinese New Year!
Small Update(New Pics)
Just a small update for now. I recently found some photos host #31 (Zach) sent me in the mail a long while ago, but I
thought I had scanned in all of them. So I have added some new pics for #31 and updated the maps accordingly. I've also
fixed up the hostlist page and expanded it so you can navigate the U.S. states more easily.
Have a VCS day™!
Around The World In Three Years!
Happy New Year! Thank you all for your patience. I've been busy during this holiday break to get caught up.
I feel I was neglecting the site last year despite my efforts to keep up with it between school, work, etc. I'm taking a short break from school so that I can get a bunch of elements added that I want the site to have and to "revive" this place because Trotter is constantly on the go,
so this website needs to have freqent updates to keep pace with Trotter's adventures on his World Tour.
I'm resolving to update this site every week, even if it is just minor cosmetic tweaks or only one new map or photo.
Also, I'll be focused this coming week on getting everything done for the soon-to-be-available Silver Trotter Limited Edition cartridges! I am working with Packrat Video Games to get this built and ready. I'll post some photos when we get some shot of the final product. :-)
I'll be setting up PayPal and/or other methods of payment as well. More about this soon.
A quick recap of 2006: Trotter completed his 3rd year of traveling mid-November! Also close to this time, Trotter was able to accomplish one of his goals:
to circumnavigate the globe at least once! Trotter made a complete revolution, from Bangkok, Thailand- back in October 2005- moving eastward until he travelled back to Bangkok from the west with a European host in November 2006! Congrats!
The next goal Trotter is likely to complete is to set cart on each of the 7 continents: only South America and Antarctica remain as of this writing.
Trotter is confident he can get there someday soon. Earlier in 2006, Trotter was able to visit Africa which had been unforseen as possible for an Atari cart to venture to( because there are not many classic gaming entusiasts in that part of the world ).
Now, Trotter has seen parts of both Eastern and Western Africa, so anything is possible!
For this update I've added new maps including Germany's states, Finland, Ghana, Nigeria, Thailand, and a few others.
I'm also trying a new method to label the important cities instead of just black text taking up space on the land masses. If this is more readable this way,I'll convert the past maps to look this way too. Also, I've grayed out or "shadowed" the surrounding administrative divisions to separate them from the main focus of each map( in yellow). Eventually, all the maps will look this way.
I've added several names to the host list since last update, but if I missed somebody, let me know and I'll add you. Or if you have questions, send me an e-mail. There's a bunch of little things on the site I'll be fixing over the next few weeks: i.e. adding the correct distances travelled, adding colors to the past maps, etc. Also, several photos from events Trotter has attended.
Gotta get some rest now. Thank you for your support! More soon! Happy trails!
Touring Egypt And Germany!
It's been over a month, but I'm happy to add Africa to the map section and 19 new photos! This includes shots taken in Amsterdam, the Pyramids near Cairo, and views of the total eclipse on Trotter's activation day, March 29th!
I've also redone a few of the maps for Germany( state borders ) and have added a light gray around the map area I want to focus on for each region. I'll be modifying the other region maps this way in the future.
I'm waiting for confirmation that Trotter arrived safely in Finland. From there, current plans in the works could take Trotter to visit Yellowstone National Park in the USA, and/or a possibly return trip to another part of Africa!
The next addition for this summer will include a "Store" section. I have a few items in the works I'm putting together. More details to follow soon. I'm using a different computer for this upload until I eliminate some spyware on my primary computer that has delayed this update a bit. Have a VCS day™!
Happy Third Birthday, Trotter!
Yup, It's been three years already since Trotter was first activated. Eight months later, he launched his World Tour from Orem, Utah, USA. A few quick numbers: In two plus years, Trotter has been hosted 48 times, set down on 4 continents, visited 15 nations( including USA ), been present at 9 video gaming gatherings and received 1 award! Not bad for a 3-year-old cartrige designed for a 30-year-old video game console! :-)
The adventure continues! Trotter has decided to put his main goals down in writing so he can stay focused for another year of trotting the globe:
- Make at least one complete circumnavigation around the globe, generally parallel to the Equator (Trotter has come close to this a few times, but then changed direction)
- Make at least one stop on every continent. (Just recently located hosts in South America and Africa. Antarctica may be tricky)
- Make at least one stop in every U.S. State. (Bonus: visit every capital city, plus Puerto Rico and Washington DC)
- Visit as many different countries, territories, and/or islands as he can gain access to.
- Bonus: Launch into space and orbit the Earth a few times. (A cart can dream, can't he? ;-) )
For this update, I've added photos from Freisen, Germany, and flags to the corresponding maps. I've also added hosts representing Mexico, Chile, and South Carolina, and made new entries for the Netherlands, Germany, and Vermont. This means I'll need to make a page for Africa and South America next. I've also added a rough version of a Map Legend page to help people identify the symbols I'm using to track Trotter's path. This page is a WIP and I hope to make it better soon. Also moving to the top of the "To Do" list will be a Links page and an FAQ page to explain what Trotter is all about. Happy Birthday to everybody who shares their day with Trotter! The young one is celebrating with a host who has taken a trip to Egypt! More on that adventure after Trotter gets back to the Netherlands. Happy trails!
Website Relaunched!
Welcome to the new Globetrotter World Tour website!... Finally! :-) Globetrotter, or "Trotter" for short, is making a journey across the world. He's a huge fan of classic gaming and wants to visit as many fellow fans as possible. He especially loves Atari because, after all, he's an Atari cartridge ... personified!
This site has been set up to follow Trotter's travels around the world. The arrow on the map above marks Trottter's current position(as of the last update). Check back regularly for updates of where he's visiting.
Apologies and thanks for your patience in waiting for this update. The new design of the webpage is a WIP. I'll be making changes as time permits, my main focus being on updating the content with new photos, names, etc. I hope to organize it so that minor updates will come weekly, in order to prevent another long delay in new info about Trotter's progress.
I'll be using this "blotter" to post about additions/changes to this website, Trotter's progress, and any ancedotes shared by Trotter's current host. If you have questions or would like to participate, click on the "Contact Us" tab and send me a message! :-)
This site still needs polish, plus I've got more maps and elements to add as time allows. Some things still to do:
- Add Freisen to the Germany Map
- Add the correct "distance traveled" info and spacing on each map page
- Add an "Events" page to include photos from shows and expos
- Contact unconfirmed hosts to get correct name, city, etc. info and update accordingly
- Add a "Store" section for the extra T-shirts I have for sale
- Add an FAQ section for those new to the project
- Overall polish to the site, etc.
